The role of prebiotics in ensuring health of children: literature review and own research

The article provides a brief historical data, classification and requirements for prebiotics. The clinical efficacy of galacto-, fructooligosaccharides, inulin, maltodextrin, dietary fiber and the need for their use for the treatment and prevention of functional bowel disorders are shown. The data on the need to use prebiotics as one of the main components of symbiotic complexes are given.References
